A number of the Parnellite Party have decided to spend the time occupied by the autumn session in organising in Ireland if the session is devoted simply to English busines.
MINERS STRIKE.
The Midlnnd mine owners are willing to allow the men to resume work at a reduction of 15 per cent in wages.
WOOL SALES.
The wool sales have closed. 185,000 bales were sold and 350 held over. The prices as compared with the July sales were : — Merino, greasy, good average quality, from par to |d per Ib dearer ; superior -gd, anl inferior £d lower; crossbred, good greasy, |d.
