(FROM OUR RESIDENT AGENT.] October 9.— The annual meeting of shareholders in the Cardiff Co operative Dairy Co , was held on Saturday. The report showed that during tho ceason 1892 3 217,358 gals of milk had been dealt with producing 235,1 52U>s of cheese. Suppliers had received 3Jd por gallon for their milk. The sbare capial paid up is £333 19a, and the net profit for the eeason after payment of all expenses including interest on bunk overdraft and allowing f ■ r 5 per cent depreciation of buildings and plant was £247 12s 3d. Of this amount £154 3a Id waß refunded to capital account, £42 10a added to reserve fund, and the balance carried forward to next season.
The Hawera amateurs are to produce " The Pirates of Pi nzance" here on Friday next. The object ia to raise funds for the hospitalj and as we have good accounts of the merits of the performance, there should be a full house.
The Man^anui Road Board has decided to merge into the County.
