TARANAKI J.C. COMMITTEE MEETING.

An adjourned mooting of tho Committee of tho Taranaki Jockey Club was held at Mr R. G. Bauchopo'e olHce on Friday night. The sub-committee submitted a programme for Boxing Day meeting, the stakes amounting to £350. The events aie — MaHen, of 30 soys, 1^ miles; Shorts, 25 soys, 4 furlongs; Summer Handicap, 100 soys, lj miles; Handicap Hurdles, 50 soys, 1£ miles; Flying Hindicap, 50 soys, t> furlongs; Ladies' Puree, Bo sovs, 1 mile; Welter Handicap, 40 soys, 1 mile; Farewell Handicap, 25 s >vs, 6 furlongs. The programme was adopted. Tho programme for tha Autumn Meeting was also submitted and adopte ', the dates to be fixed hereafter. The offer of Messrs Hill and Poole to work the total isator for the season waß accepted. Mr W. Hately was appointed handicuppor for the hack races. Mr R. G. Pardy intimated that he did not wis^i to stand in opposition to Mr Hvtely. Tho following resolution in reply to the secretary of the Trotting and Pony Club was passed :—: — "That the Trotting and Pony Club be informed that if they comply with the rules of racing, fpeciully with regard to added money, their programme will be passed." Some other business was transacted.
