Redmond'* amendment in favor of Ireland being allowed immediate control of the taxes was negatived by a largo majority. The Unionists and many adherents of Mr Sexton abstained from voting. Mr Chamberlain has moved another amendment, that Imperial control of Irish taxes shall continue until Parliament otherwise determines.
