In the Police Conrt this (Wednesday) Morning, Benjamin Fox, a lad 14 years of age, was charged with stealing ono shilling from the till of Mr \V. Bayly's shop on Tuesday. The accused pleaded guilty. Bergt. Duffin stated tbo facts ot tbe cuae. His Worship convicted the accused and ordered him to come up for ..sentence when callod upon at any time within the next three months. His Worship, at tho samo time, stated that had accused been under 14 years of ago ho wsuld have ordered him to receive a birching instead.
