FURLONG'S PREMISES BROKEN INTO
On Wednesday night, April 11, Mr Fuilong's shop was burglariously entered, when the robber took £3 in money and packages containing two hundred cigars. The shop was again broken in- o on Saturday, June 17, when though a search was made for money none was found. Tho man, however, helped himself to a packago of Swiss cigars, as well as a few of other brands. Tbo robber evidently knew how to overcome bars annd bolts, for by the use of a braco and bit ho bored numerous holes so as to mako room for his arm to ,go through in order to take down an iron bar, and to lift a bolt. j We have gone through our files for the last eighteen months, and the above is th result of our search for crimes that have been committed, but the perpetrators of them havo not been detected. Whether they havo been committed by one man it is impossible for v? to say, but thero has < been considerable uneasiness felt by most persons that there was someone in the community who was not honest. We hope now we shall hear of no further derpedation of the kind. ■
