AUSTRALIANS V. SOMERSETSHIRE.
London, July 21.— At Taunton, to day, the crowd were very angry when the decision first camo to postpone the Somersetshire match. Though tho aim was shining, tho ground was vory wet. Owing to a misunderstanding it was believed tho colonials desired to avoid the match, and as the Australians passed tho townsfolk they were hooted, but the spectators cheered them. Eventually tho umpire re-examined the ground, and ordered a start to be made. The bowlers got a lot of work on the ball, and the batßmen in Tying to forco the score were ncaly all caught ou\ Tho third wicket fell with a total of 72; the remainder, however, collapsed. The fielding of tho visitors was good, especially Graham, Bruce, and Trumblo.
