Mr David Etheridge, a V.R.H. bookmaker, whilst being driven home by his coachman on Saturday evoning, April 22, after the Maribyrnong races, was bailed up by three men, who pointed revolvers at him, and robbed him of jewellery valued at £50 and £3 in cadi. Fortunately Etheridge had left with a friend his bettingbag, containing £300. Hea r ing persous approaching, tho robbers made off, and the coachman went in pu suit. As ho gained upon one of the runaways the man turned and fired two shots st his pursuer, but, both shots tuiVod. No arrest has yet been made. Mr W.
