BELL BLOCK RACING CLUB'S MEETING.
The third ann lal lhack moeting of the 801 l Block Club was held on Mr P. ' Rundle's farm on Thursday in the presence of fully 700 spectator*. The day was fine for the sport, a fe*v slight 6howers of rain falling, but those were not heavy enough to inconvenience patrons of the meeting. The heavy rains that had fallen for a week preceding the meeting had soddened the course to a cortain degree, and the "going" was therefore a bit heavy. The tot lisator was worked by Messrs Adams and Andrews, of Auckland, who put £1,312 through during the day in an expeditious manner. There were no large dividends, the boat being in the Farmers' Plate, when iEnono, who had been tipped in these columns, rewarded her backers with £8 13. Mr 0.
