London, April 28. — The leaders of the Unionist party have decided to fight the Home Rule Bill wften in Committee line by line. Mr Asquith, the Home Secretary, in the House of Commons, denied that the Dowager Duchess of Sutherland, committed to prison for contempt , of Court, was allowed unusual privileges. The Railway Servants Houra Bill has passed all its stages in the House of Commons. The Belfast Orangemen tried to hang Daly, a Roman Catholic ironworker, but he escaped before the scheme was carried into effect. He received serious injuries howovo', at the hands of the mob' The factory girls in Belfast threatened to cut the throats of the Catholic employees, who have taken a panic, and hundreds of thorn have left the works in order to save their lives. They wore stoned by the othor factory girls as they left the works. Mr Asquilh, Home Secrettry, replying to a question in the House of Coramuns, said that order was being restored in Belfast, and that the military would protect all classes of the community. He believed that the injures yiibtainod during the riots were not of a eorious character. The Marquis of Londonderry 6ays that civil war is coming. The Sta dard sayß tli t the Opposition will make strong efforts to modify the Home Rule Bill in committee in the direction of securing absolute supremacy for the Imperial Parliament. The Government are prepared to allow | Irish members at Westminster to vote on all questions, recognising that it will be impossible to draw a distinction between Imperial and domestic juestions.
