Definition of n Hack.— A Hack in a horse that has never won an advertised raae (Hack and Hunter Races excepted) and s not ut the time of start, and has not bsen during ihu sixcilendur months previous to the timeofstait, nominated to any race (Hack and Huntei Racts excepted). . In all cases when penalties have to be carried for winning, it shall bo the duty of the owner, trainer or jockey to notify the same to the Secretary on the night of Tuesday, the 17tn January, before nine o'clookot Wilsons Stratford lotel. Nominations for Noh. 2, 4. and 6, (with neceßßary amounts) to be in the bands of the Secretary by 10 p.m. on Thursday, tho 1 ilh December, at Wilson'B Stratford Hotel. Full particulars of colours age, pc ngiee, and performances mnet be forwarded with the nominations. Handicaps will be declared on tbe 3rd January. Acceptances and general entrances close at 9 o'clock on Tuesday might, 10th January, 1893, at Wilson's Stratford Hotel. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent of the stakes.
