BY SPECIAL] Sl§io| APPOINTMBNTt SIR ANDREW CLARK, L.L.D., F.R.S., F.R.C.P. I'(PHYBICIAN IN ORDINARY TO THK QTJKSN 1881). Lecture on Tea, TO THK STUDENTS OF THE LONDON HOSPITAL. (Extract from the Palt, Mali, Budget.) " Tea to bo useful, should be first of all black China Tea. The Indian Tea which is being cultivated has become jo powerful in its effectp "poa the nervous system that a cup of it taken early in the morning, na many people do, so disorders the nervous system, that those who take it actually get into a state of tea intoxication, and it produces a form of nerve disturbince wbich is moßt painful to witness." Althougn wo are the largest dealers in Indian and Ceylon Teas in tho Colonies. WE HAVE ALWAYS STRONGLY ADVISED the publioto DRINK our BLENDED TEAS in preference to Indian or Ceylon alone. We maintain they aro too sickly for 90 PER CENT, of the tea drinking public ; and in England, where such large quantities are shipped, over 80 PER CENT, are used for BLENDING with CHINA TEAS, which are undonbto.ily a 8 PURE as Indian and Ceylon, and FAR MORE REFRESHING when properly BLENDED. Many INEXPERIENCED firms push Indinn and Ceylon on ths public because it is beyond thorn to produce a regular, true blen.i, and the profit Sb larger, for choap oommon Indians give out a Ptrong coarse liqaor, WITHOUT ANY QUALITY, and make people, FOR A TIME, fancy they aro getting a bargain, till they find out, to* their cost, that SIR A. CLARK is right. The LEADING MEDICAL men in ENGLAND are CONDEMNING the use of Indian and Ceylon TEA ALONE, and the above extract from Sir A. Clark's Lecture MUST CONVINCE ALL that ft taste for Indians, whioh has to be .ACQUIRED BY FORCE AT FIRST, is a SERIOUS and dangerouß thing. Wo are publishing the above extract for tho benefit of those that bave not seen it, and to support what we have always maintained. Thiß is against our own interests, for the profit on theße Teaß is equal, if not more, than that on other kinds. NFS RON MMtF % CO INDIAN, CHINA, AND CEYLON TEA. IMPOR'I'ERS CHRISTOfIUBOH, AUCKLAND, DUNEDIN, WELLINGTON, HOBABT, AND LAUNCESTON. THE COURT OP COM ION SENSE. "UOU pay your Tailor for style, yoar Physician for bis skill, and the Teacher of yonr children for bis knowledge of language, literature, or music ; and yon probably would not object to pay us for our skill and experience in the art of i blending Tea ; but, as a matter of faot, we give them to you gratis. You oan provo it yourself. Compare our Blends with any others offering at the same prices, and let your own palate judge. You are the highest tribunaljto whioh we oan appeal ; there is no higher court. "Will you adjudicate ? W. & G. TUBNBULL & Co., PEOPEIETOB3, WELLINGTON.
