Prejudico is as varied in its operation as its victims are countless. Liko sunshine and rain, it falls upon the evil and the good ; but unlike the gifts of God, it is only fruitful of mischievous wrong. Many; & sad and lonely eoul is wearing put to-day a lifo become pitiablo by prejudice. Many a bright hope and noble aspiration has been blasted by its withering influenza. In the, world nround us tbero are those who longed to do — ay, and would have doneyeoman's service for God and truth and riaht had not the black shadow of prejudice blocked their progress. Surely we may call it a cruel and a cowardly vice. Not only bo, it is a foolish one as well. Like justice — though in a far different sense — prtjndico is blind ; for, while every potent to oppress and injure the good, it just as often perhaps places the unworthy upon a pedestal of honor. Led by the passing gossip of triflers, even well intentioned men, too lazy or too careless to examine for themselves, surrender to its influence whatever fairmindedne'S they have, and thus privnto reputations, social reforms, national affairp, and even religious observations become tbo victims of what is neither more no] less than oriminal thoughtlessness. Dont be prejudiced against Clements Tonic because it is a patent medicine, or because so mo unscrupulous chemists end doctors deprecato it. Therefore, is it not better for sufferers to nae this remedy, which hnß been proved reliable in thousands of cases, than that they should be experimented on by phvsioiaos and psuedo-cheojist-practitioners. You know you get a geonine article in Cle Lenta Tonic, while it is very doubtful if even the man who mixes your medicine hap-hazard knovus for certain what he's putting in the bottle; Exceptions always prove the rule,, and an eminent physioian under date November 12, '90: '"Dear sir, — It gives me much pleasure to send you an acknowledgment of the therapeutical value of Clement?
