INGLEWOOD.
(FROM OUR OWN COBBESPONDENT.) December 16\--The Inglewood Town Board met on Monday. Present: Messrs. J. C. Peach (chairman), Lamb, Marsh. Oatward Correspondence —to Mr Jnlian; to Mr Franklyn. The Chairman reported that he and Mr Marsh were not satisfied with the two coats of paint put on the Town Hall, and they agreed that it should get another, therefore they came to an understanding with Mr Innes to put another coat of paint on the front of the Hall and fence. The Chairman also reported that he had come to an agreement with Mr Tarry for the removal of a stump in the gravel pit. The Board approved of the Chairman's action respecting the stump. The cleric was instructed to caution the manager of tho butter factory that the Town Board would object to the refuse of the factory being thrown in the Waiongona - iti stream. Inward correspondence : A letter was read from tho SiuveyorGeceral's Department respecting the handinsc over of some eections to the Inglewood Town Board.— It was proposed by Mr Marsh, seconded by Mr Lamb, " That Mr Julian's attention be called to tho stalo of tho footpath, where nightsoil had been empticrl." —Carried. An application fora lease of the Recreation Grounds was received from Moss's Julian, F. Bennett, Mace, and Jaa Hickton. It waa agreed to accept Mr Hickton'a offer for 10s per annum for 7 years, in accordanco with his agreement, and he is to erect a four railed mor iced fenco, or 5 wire fenco in three months # from duto ; the fence to bo left on expiration of lease. The collectors report fcr tho month of November was read, showing the amount collected to bo £0 9s. It was proposed by Mr Lamb, seconded by Mr Mar h, " That tho clog tax bo 5s for the next year, Mr R. Btcvens to collect, payable on January, 1892." It was moved by Mr Marsh, and secondod by Mr Lamb, " That the clerk jvrito to the Taranaki County Council to have tho footpath within tho bound ry of the Inglowood township Gusett r/, and to hand over the contract to the Town Board. It was proposed to call for tenders for the sections iv Moa-street. This was all tho business of the board.
