HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.
Wednesday, September 17. — Tho Speaker took the chair at 2.30 p.m. In reply to a question the Government stated they were not in a position yet to nominate as Chairman of Committee. Several bills were forwarded through various etagOß, and Tho House adjourned at 5.30 p.m., and on resuming at 7.30 p.m., The Coal Mines Bill was passed through Committee without any material amendment, read a third time, and passed, On the motion of Mr McKenzie, all the amendments made by the Legislative Council in the Land Bill were disagreed with. Tho House rose at 1.20 a.m.
