, . Londok, May 15. The French warship Seigrielay was stranded on a sandbank off Jaffa, on the Levant, coast. Her position was supposed to be hopeless, but Lord Charles Beresford, who commads the Undaunted, ran a hawser half a-mile out in the teeth of a gale, and extricated the ship after si* hours* work. ANTI-PARNELL MEETING. While Mr Parnell was addressing a meeting at Limohoust, London, a hostile mob attempted to gain entrance to the huilding. The outcome was a melee, in which sticks were freely used. A good deal of blood was spilt, but the injuries inflicted were not of a serious nature. -Mr T. Quinn, M.P. for Kilkenny, formerly a Parnellite supporter, has joined, the ranks of the McCarthy Party. RISING IN DUTCH GUIANA. A revolt has broken out in -Dutch Guiana of an alarming nature. The lower clasees are rebelling against the domination of the upper class. DEATH OF CANON OADMAN. The . death of Canon Cadman, of Canterbury, is announced. RITUALISTIC CASE. Tho hearing of the Bishop of Lincoln's appeal in the Privy Council against the decision, of the Archbishop of Canterbury in the ritualistic case, has been postponed till the 10th June. OUTRAGES OF THE CORFU MOB. The situation at Corfu is desperate. The populace is so infuriated against the Jews that the latter are unable to bury their dead without the aid of the soldiers. The 'Times denies that the decree expelling the Jews from Russia has been suspended. TAX ON RACECOUBSES. -Paris, May 14k. The Chamber of Deputies has adopted the Bill giving the Government power to supervise and tax racecourses.
