National and Colonial Banks have both hardened,, an.d>are in strong, demand, especially the, latter, .whjch 1 , are quoted, with sales at 425; sellers 42s 6d, buyers 425. The shares are .offering plentifully, but the figure' is a little too high for most investors. The same remarks' apply to Bank of New Zealand shares, - which are offered at 113s;, they have changed .hands at that price during the week, but they' are not considered of sufficient value at present by many who wisli to ""take up' the stock. South British are advancißg steadily; sales at 31s 6d, buyers same. There has been a better feeling towards N.P. Sash and Door Company shares, and they are now in strong demand, consequently the price has advanced to £4 10s, at which* figure there are.buyert.*^ Buyers* N.Z.
