At tho start Stanbury caught the water first, and at once forged ahead., After a mile had been covered he was leading by three lengths, and although McLean pulled all he know he could not get on terms with him. Towards the finish Stanbury spurted, and passed the judge an easy winner. He was quite fresh, and did not appear to be in the least distressed by his exertions. The time was 22min 15£ sec.
