ST. PATRICK'S DAY.

I «.. — CATHOLIC SCHOOL PICNIC. The annual picnic in connection with the ! Citholic School was held at Wcstown on jMr J. Fischer's farm on Tuesday. Finer weather could not have been experienced, and consequently the picnic was a complete success from a pleasure standpoint. The children, who mustered about l',o strong, were driven out to the ground in j the morning, and spent a most enjoyub'o day, judging by the many happy faces that were to be seen when they returned to town. The catering was in the hands o£ Mr W. Black, who gave complete satisfaction. The following ladies amended to the children when they sat down for refreshments : — Misses Collins, Christie Gaym (2), Mesdames Francis, W. D Francis, Hart, Parker, Fischer, O'Neill, Townlcy, and others. Messrs Fischer, W. Gucrin, J. Guorin, Rafter, J Simpson, Stapleton. and Hart, and other gentlemen provided amusements for tho childien and assisted in every way to make the picnic a success. A word of praise is due to Mr and Vrs Fischer, who kindly granted the ground for the picnic, and" assisted in a general way. The Rev. Father McKcnna, who organised the picnic, was present, and was indefatigable in his efforts to make the outing pleasant ior the children. Tho congregation of the Church also materially helped in donations to the fund raised for the purpose.
