JUBILEE EXHIBITION COMMITTEE.

A MEETIKa of the Jubilee Exhibition Committee was held on Saturday night. Present : Messrs Goodacre (chairman), Snowball, Jones, P. Okoy, Kyngdon, Davidson, Smith, King, Brooking, Webster, Goldwater, and Moftlin. Publican's Bootii. — In consequence of a letter frem the Jubilee Committee, it was decided to reschid the lesolution granting leave for a publican's booth in the Exhibition, as the Town School Committee objected. Lighting. — It was resolved to accept the offer of the Gulcher Company, of: Wellington, to light the Exhibition, subject to the yards being lighted, and tbe matter was then leCt in the hands of, the Lighting Committee. Certificates. — Messrs Bock & Cousins, of Wellington, gave term 3 for the supply of 200 certificates. — It was decided to forward the sketch to Mr Willis, of Wanganui, to get his estimate for 200. Judgks — The question of judges' expenses was discussed, and it was finally decided that the position should be honorary. Opening of Exhibition. — The Committee decided in efliect that the Premier should be invited to open the Exhibition at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 30. Maiiqueus. — Tho Committee decided to write to the Defence Minister, and also Captain Anderson, Government Storekeeper, for the purpose of getting the loan of marquees. Meetings. — The Cominitteo decided to make a formal application to the Borough Council for the use of the Chambers on Saturday nights. Ladies' Committee. — The Secretary was instructed to convene a meeting of the Ladies' Committee at an early date. Canvass. — A report of the Chairman and Sac'-otary's canvass through the district last week was read, and considered most satisfactory. Space. — The Committee decided to meet at the Central School at 4 o'clock this (Monday) afternoon, in order to allot space. Prices of Admission. — Tho prices foxadmission to the Exhibition were fixed as follows : — Opening ceremony, tickets 2s 6d : remainder of week, Is ; Monday and Wednesday evenings, 2a ; other evenings, Is ; children under the age of 12, halfprice. Children not admitted except in charge of either parents or guardians. Season tickets to admit any time, 7s Gd. School days to be arranged for with the Committee, and the charge to be -3d per head, and all side shows and entertainments to lie an extra charge. This was all the business.
