THE PETROLEUM BORING.
A SLIQHT STOPPAGE. The work of boring was re?comn*eijced jn the derrick at the works at Moturoa on Monday morning, and continued all day, very satisfactory progress being made. This (Tuesday) morning, however, the sinker bar, which drives the bit that outs into the ground, snapped in two, and work was therefore stopped. The bar -was brought into town at once to Mr Okey's foundry, where it was forged, ' It was expected to get to work again this (Tuesday) afternoon.
