'< At the mart, no fowls offered ; geese \ made 4s 9d to 2s, new potatoes id to Jd, bacon 4d, hams 3d to 6d, cheese 4d to 4id, sugar 3d; tea 13s 6d, barley 2s 9d, bran 3s 6d. Sandriesand clothingmade fair rates. Fruit is still very scarce. During the Week plums mado 10s, pears 3s 6d to ss. jDattle. — At Stiatford, on Tuesday, the yards were again filled with stock, medium sized steers predominating with a good number of bullocks also offering. There was a large .attendance of buyers, bat bidding at the commencement of tho sale was dull, and several pens passed- in. As the sale .progressed, however, things became more lively, and nearly every pen was, eventually, sold at good prices, only one or two lots going home. Small calves made 9s,' mixed yearlings 235, steer do 23s to 28s, 12 to 18-months do 31s to 365, 2 to 2f-years do £2 6s to £2 19s 6d, 3 to 3£ do £3 4s to £3 13s 6d, 12 to 18-months; heifers 23s 6d to 275, 2 to 2i-years do £2 2s to £2 12s 6d, store cows 31s' to 37s 6d, fresh do £2 5s to £2 9s, bulls £1 2s 6d to £1 19 a. — At Waitara, on Wednesday, there was a small muster of stock, and few buyers present. All lines, however, with the exception of springing heifers, were well confpeted for, only one pen of the " latter going home.
