Melbourne, September 18. The man Turner,- who was arrested and subsequently committed for trial for the murder of Mrs Judd, who was shot in a boarding-house, has been acquitted at the Supreme Court. Sydney, September 18. Several exciting scenes have occurred in the Houss of Assembly on the motion for adjournment, and a number of the members denounced the Government for the action that had taken place with regard to the present labor struggle. Mr Wm. N. Wills, member for Bourke, excitedly remarked " that the Minister of Public Works ought to be shot down like a bloody dog." Several other members got at loggerheads, and in one caso it almost ended in a personal encounter on the floor of the Chamber. The steamer Namoi, which is laid up in tlie harbor, was discovered on fire this morning, and the flames were not extinguished before the saloon was burnt out. The damage is estimated at £3000. The origin of the fire is at present unknown.
