Cattle, Sheep, &o.— Messrs Bucklantf* Sons report that at Pakekobe on Monday (August 25), a moderate supply of cattle, mostly cows, met witu fair oenaand; and at Pupakur* on Wednesday (August 27) a larger muster than usual sold bri&kly at advanced prices. — At Remnera on Thursday (Auga«t2B) dairy cattle were plentiful and at moderate rates; those at their profit ranged from 27s 6d to 70s; store cattle in good demand; young dry cows ranged from 25at042j6d; yeaning steers 17s to 255; 2 year old steers £2 5s to £2 12a 6d; 3 year old steers £3 to £3 7a 6d; fat cattle in fall supply, and luwer in price than last week about is the lOOlba; good s'.ecrs ranged from 16b to I 81; cows from 12s to 14s the 100 bs. Galves were in full numbers; young calves kept their values, but six months' calves were lower m price. There was a moderate muster at Newnmket yards orf Tuesday (August 26j, bidding was stendy throughout. Dairy cows Bold at from £3 10s to £6; but few stores changed hands, buyers holding back for the special sale next week. Beef sold at from 15s to 18s per lOOlbs. Some averages were:— &7 2s 6d, £6 16s 6d, £6 5s lid, £5 18s, £5 19s »d; cows, £5, £4 IBs, £3 15b, and £3 9j 2d.
