THE LATE CONSTABLE HEWITT. At the conclusion of the sitting of the R.M. Court at Waitara to-day, Mr Kettle R.M., said that be had to express his great regret at the death of Mr Hewitt, the clerk of the Court, which took place on Saturday morning. As a member of the community the late Mr Hewitt was esteemed and highly respected by all who knew him, and as a police officer it was sufficient to say that lie performed his duties honestly and to the entire satisfaction of his employers.
