The jury, accompanied by tho Coroner, •ounsel, polico, and others connected with the inquest were driven to the Avenue Road this (Wednesday) afternoon to view the places montioned in Francis Richards' evidence. It has been decided to postpone the ordinary meeting of the Land Board from Monday next to the following Monday. There were sixteen patients in the hospital on April 1, three woro admitted, and nine discharged during the month, leaving ten at the end of the month. The daily average was 12 p l 6. It is full of I news, and seems to be a well conducted paper. We wish our contemporary every success. We havo received a letter referring to tho evidence being given at tho inquest on the Recreation Ground murder ; but our correspondent must excuse us inserting it. Whilst Mr Samuel is present wo have no fear that anything will escape his notice that the Coroner's attention should be called to. We think it better for correspondents to abstain from commenting on the evidence, at least for the present, M Hood has much pleasure in offering the ladies of New Plymouth some of the choicest autumn goodß she has yet shown. They were all personally selected during her late visit south from the first houses in the trade, and are the newest goods direct from London. Being exceptionally well bought, she can price them very low and guarantee all the lines as wonderfully cheap and the value unsurpassed. The remainder of the stock is still being offered at the clearing out prices previously advertised, and the sale will continue till everything is disposed of, when the pr*ntfiß* yr'M be positively eloet#,— Apvx
