N.Z. GRAND MASONIC LODGE OPENED.

CiißiSTCHuncii, April 30. — The New Zealand Grand Masonic Lodge was opened last night. There was a large attendance, representing all parts of the colony. The following occupied the official positions in the Grand Lodge for the evening : Grand Master, R. W. Brother G. T. Gillon, Wellington; Deputy Grand Master, Vincent Pyke, Dunedin; Senior Warden Derenzi, Dunedin; Junior Warden Hamilton, Wellington; Senior Deacon Waekley, Palmerston; Junior Deacon Symon, Auckland; Grand Treasurer Kirton, Feilding ; Secretary George Robertson, Wellington ; Pursuivant, Lindsay, Wellington ; Grand Sword Bearer, Geo. Fisher, Wellington. Tho proclamation of the opening of the Grand Lodge was made by li. W. Bro. R. C. Bishop. The Brethren then confirmed the election of Thomson as First Grand Master. The Executive Committee's re. port was provisionally adopted, and the election of office bearers was next proceeded with : — Deputy Grand Master, A. S. Russell, Auckland ; Junior Grand Warden, H. Feld wick, M.11.R., Invercargill. Among the officers of the Grand Lodge are Junior Grand Warden D. H. McArthur, M.H.R , Foilding ; Grand Treasurer, A. Kaye, Christchurch ; Grand Secretary, Rev. W. Ronaldson, Dunedin ; Grand Chaplain Rev. W. E. Paige, Mastorton.
