A DUCAL OPINION.

A leading jeweller, in speaking of tho very handsome cut of the Waterbury Wafch Company which appeared in a recent issue of the Beview, gave your correspondent the following little incident illustrating the popularity and high estimation in which the American lowpriced watches ure held in England. He siys : " While in England last summer I happened to be in the vioinity of Eaton Hall, Chester, one of the country seats of the Duke of Westminster, where there was a meeting of yeomanry and some 200,000 people assembled. All were inducing in garres and festivities, the Duke being present ia person and mingling freely with the other*, when his Grace was accosted by one of his friends, who remarked that there were reported to be several pickpockets present, and that he had better look out for his watch. The Duke laughingly replied that he was grateful for the warning, as he had a watch which he valued highly , although of small cost and that he would hate to part with it, at the Bame time pulling out a handsome Waterbury.
