Lemoine, editor of Le Debats, a republican organ, in an article on the affairs in Egypt, advises France to dismiss the idea of Egypt being evacuated by England as an empty dream, and says that it would be far better for France to submit to the inevitable, and cultivate a friendship with England, when France might create a position and share in the spoils belonging to the rietor.
