How simply a large bush fire may be started was exemplified on Tuesday, the 4th ult., when the 7 o'clock luggage train from Maryborough to dunes was the cause of setting fire to one of Mr It. It broke out again on Wednesday and befoie it could be overcome some 500 acres of grasa were burnt. There was a valuable flock of fat wethers in one of the paddocks, and by the strenuous exertions of a large number of willing helpers the fire was put out BOine 500 yards before reaching the sheep. Tho same train on Wednesday night set another paddock on file opposite to the one already burnt the previous night, but assistance being at hand was quickly got undor, about 60 acres of grass being burnt.
