POLICE COURT. THIS DAY.
Saturday, November 30. — Before C. E. Rawson, Esq., R.M. ALLEGED LUNACY. Jessie Blinkhorn, on remand, was charged with alleged lunacy. Sergeant Duffin stated that the defendant was arrested on the 28th, on account of her becoming strange in her behaviour through drink. The husband was away at Rahotu at the time, and as the defendant was all alone, it was considered advisable to take her in charge. The husband was now in Court, and he wouldtake care of the defendant. In answer to His Worship the defendant said she had been drinking too much, but would not do so again. The charge of lunacy was then dismissed. The husband then applied for a prohibition order against the defendant, -which was granted, the same to take effect in the New Plymouth Licensing Wards.
