A powerful Queensland company has obtained twenty square miles of gold-bearing country in the Pahang district, Malay Peninsula, which they intend to work. From a ton of specimens has been obtained 102oz. of gold, which have been sold at Singapore at £4 2s 6d per ounce. Hobart, Jane 26. The Dorio, from London, via the Gape, arrived here at 3 p.m., and sails again for Wellington at 8 o'clock to-morrow morning. The Doiio brings 86 passengers for Australian ports and 72 for New Zealand.
