[PEK PRESS ASSOOIAIION.] Wbllinqton, September 24.— 1n consequence of the retrenchment or! Detective ( Bain, at Dunodin, some changes will be mudu in the diroction of equalising the number of detectives stationed in the large towns. Detectives Walker and McGrath will bo transferred from Auckland to Dunedio, and Inspector Brown will go to Auckland from here. Hitherto there have been six in Auokland. Deteotive Kirby comes here from ChristChurch ; BeDJamiu will be head of tho forco here.
