ANOTHER JONATHAN ROBERTS.
DARING ESCAPE OF A PRISONER. [PKR PBHSS ASSOCIATION.] InvbhoaroiLli, September 24. — A. young man named Rudolph Radka, who wbb committed for trial on 17th inst. oa a charge of arson, escaped from the gaol between 10 o'clock last night and 5.30 this morning. At the former hour the indicator on his cell door showed that it was looked, but Radka must have tampered with it in some way so as to make it give the wrong reading, for the cell was vacant this morning. A clothes-line dancing over the front wall showed only too plainly the means used to elfect his escape. Ouoe out of the cell Ridka had only to unbar a door, pick up the clothes-line, make a loop in one end, throw it over one of tho small turrets surrounding the front wall, haul himself up, lower the line on the other side, and drop to the asphalt pavement below. He is in ordinary dresß, which of course favors his cbanoe of making good tbe attempt at uecuring his liberty. An alarm was promptly given, and tbe police and warden* are now scouring the district.
