Albany, August 11. Arrived : H.M.S. Orlando, to relieve ' H.M.S. Nelson. Melbourne, August 12. Enquiries are being made with a view to obtaining supplies of ooal from New Zealand. Sydney, August 12. The miners of Newcastle have been unable to come to terms with the ' managers, and have given notice that after fourteen days from Monday they will go oat on strike. The English football team played a match against the Sydney University yesterday, and won by 8 points to 4. The Maritime Labour Council and affiliated bodies have, resolved to take a vote of the members as to whether it is advisable that there should be a general strike throughout the colonies re the Northern Steamship question.
