OKATO.
MAN MISSING. [from cur own correspondikt.] March 27.— 0n Sunday last Andrew Bropby, aon of Mr J. Brophy, about 17 years of age, and unfortunately nfHioted in the sense of hearing and speaking, being almost a deaf mut<», disappeared about 12 o'clock, while his parents were at church. As some of bis brothers bad gone into the bush, it is surmised that he followed them, they having seen footprints about 4 mile 3 from home whan returning, but whioh were taken to be those of a friend who had arranged to go with theji. Tho mistake was quickly discovered on their reaching home, and arrangements at once made to organise search parties, who rose out by daylight on Monday morning, but up to a late hour no traoe of the missing lad has been found, th<) search will be continued this (Tuesday) morning. March 28.— A most vigorous search won continued yesterday for the lad Brophy, but I am sorry to add without results. The hopes of his being found olive is getting: very remote, bs he went off stripped to the shirt. List night was tho third out, and it bus set in very cold and wet. About 60, I understand, bas been out yesterday, including many natives. Mr Brophy has offered a substantial reward to the discoverer of the poor lad, whoso supposed footprints have been traced nearly ton milts in the bush. The practical sympathy shown by the settlers to the distracted parents is most praiseworthy, who has turned out en matse to the search, which will be continued.
