Our Wanganui correspondent telegraphs : — "I understand from Captain Sommerville that he has received a large number of designs for the new Champion Belt, but up to the present no decision baa been arrived at as to which is to ba choßen. RIFLE PRIZE MEETING. The date of the Oamaru meeting is definitely fixed for 29th February, and with thirty targets Captain Somrnorville says should be got through in a week. A proposnl will be made by the Council to allot an extra £10 for competition among those who do not get into second sta^o, and if this is agreed to, another match will be added to the programme. Nothing definite haß been heard yet from Oamaru as to sito chosen for range.
