[per unites pbess association.] . A COMMEBCIAL ATTEMPTS SUICIDE. Auckland, Ootober 27. Franz Summer, a commercial traveller, out ilia throat this morning at the Governor Browne Hotel. He will probably reoover. He has recently been in a depressed state, and seemed to be beset with business trouble. FIRE AT WOODYILLE. Woodville, Ootober 27. A fire occurred at May's bakery and Hodgson's fruit {and tinsmith's shop this afternoon. The buildings were completely destroyed. The cause is unknown; the adjoining buildings were saved by the exertions of the brigade. The insurances are unknown.
