Melbourne, Ootober 25. An inflaonfcial deputation from the Fiji Annexation Committee waited upon the Premier to-day to urge the advantages that would result from the annexation of Fiji to Victoria. Mr. Gillies, in reply to the arguments of the deputation, said that "while not wishing to throw cold water on the subject" he failed to see the advantage to be gained by Victoria. He suggested that a polisy of reciprocity would be a greater benefit to both colonies.
