THIS JD^Y. Monday, October 24.— Before C. E. Rawson, Esq , R.M. Disturbing a Conoheqation. — Edward Har^reaves (16) ant William Doughty (14) were charged with committing a breuch of "Tho Polico Ofl'enoes Act, 1884," on the lGth instant, by disturbing a congregation (the Salvation Ar:ny) assembled for public worship, by throwing stones on t'lo roof of their hall. — . Doughty pluailod guilty, but Hargreavaa pleaded otherwise. — William Doughty was then put in tho box, and stated that Hargreaves also threw stones. — Constable Hewitt Raid thiil ou tho night of tho 16lh ho caught the two boys in lioxes in a yard at the back of the Salvation Barracks. Ho saw Doughty throw stones, but not Ilirgreaves. — The captain of the Salvation Army stated that Iho stones were a serious disturbance to their meetings. — His Wor ship, on Inspector Pardy's suggestion, read the section on the Act bearing oa the offence, so as to show them what they were liable to. lie would deal li>htly with them this time by fiaiug them ss. each without costs.
