THE BOROUGH ACCOUNTS.
In order that our readers may see for themselves the actual financial position o£ our municipality, we publish below a statement of the accounts of the Borough made up from the published statements, though in a somewhat different shape, to those issued by the authorities, but rather more intelligible. It will there be seen that on the year's transactions the expenditure has exceeded the receipts by £777 17s 6\. We also publish a comparison of tho available assets and liabilities of tho year 1885-6 with those of 1886-7, and it will be seen that there is a difference in the two years of £598 33 lid.
