The unemployed agitation was renewed this morning, when an attempt was made to hold a meeting in Trafalgar Square. Tho police who had been mustered in strong force, prevented the proposed meeting being held, and in keeping the Square cleared a great amount of souffling took place. MEETING JIT HYDE PARK. About two thousand persons proceeded to Hyde Park, where several speeches were delivered. A move was afterwards made in the direction of Bayswator, but on the crowd reaching Yiotoria Gate a conflict ensued owing to the police barring their progress. EIOT 01? UNEMPLOYED. The mob destroyed the iron hurdles and seats in the Park, and with the weapons thus improvised attaokod the police, iujuring a number of constables. The police were reinforced to a considerable extent, and succeeded ultimately in dispersing the assemblage. Several arrests are being made. bISHOP OF BATHURST. The induction of the Rev. Canon Camidge as Bishop of Bathurst took place at Westminster Abbey to-day. The ceremony was performed by His Grace the Archbishop of Canterbury, assisted by Bishops Perry (formerly j Bishop of Melbourne) and Marsden (late Bishop of Bathurst), and the Bishops of Rochester and Sodor and Man. In speaking at the Conference, Mr. Gladstone vehemently denounced the conduct of the Government and their administration of Irish affairs, and said " impertinence" was the only word applicable to it. He declared if tho Government persisted iv their rash policy in dealing with the present difficulty, the Government ox that oountry would become impossible. A radical change of policy, he added, was necessary, which only an enfranchised nation could accomplish. LONDON MONEY MARKET. It is stated on good authority that General Boulanger is strongly supported in the Chamber of Deputies and in the army in aiming at immediate war with Germany. GOVERNMENT OF MOROCCO. M. Meurens, the French Minister of Foreign Affairs, has suggested to the Spanish Government that Morocco should be placed under the joint control of France and Spain.
