Melbourne, October 18. The case of Executors of E. S. Parkes v. the Government of Victoria, wherein the former claimed £89,000 damages,
concluded to-day, when the plaintiffs were awarded a verdict of £13,000. Sydney, October 18. Arrived : Alarneda, from Auoldand, with inward San Francisco mail. The weather to-day was excessively hot. The testimonial to Sir Henry Parkes is meeting with hearty support in every direction. Hobart, October 18. No fresh cases of smallpox are reported. The patients in the smallpox hospital are progressing favorably.
