CONCERT BY THE GREENWOOD FAMILY.
At tho Alexandra Hull on Friday evening a concert will bo givon by this talented family. An Auckland paper refe:s to tho younger portion of tho family as follows : "The peiformanccß which were most appreciated and most applauded wero the recitations of that wonderful littlo child, Miss Ruby. Her powers of memory ani of articulation are simply wonderful. Sho reciied " The Mother and Her I Dead Child," from Grimm's Fairy Tales, with a fidelity to the text and with an amount of pathos which brought tears to many eyes, nnd her codiic humour, eviuoed in tho song, "Over Went the Capiaia," in the trio " Horn's a Uow-de-do,"aud in tbe recitation "Nothing But Cdiv," elicited rows of laughter." Miss Agatha, who possesses a very sweet. if not a very powerful sopr.ino voice, was evidently tl c popular vocalist of the night. " Madoline " wus greeted with storms of applause snd showers of bouquets; and in response to an enevre e.io sang "Patiick's Day," and subsequently when Khe f-aru " rho Harp iv tho Wind " (Watson) tho applause was vociferous, and she appeared to bow her acknowledgments four times, but this did not satisfy her adiuiiers, and she h.id to responl to an encore, substituting "Come Buck to Erin."
