ACCIDENT AT A FLAXMILL. Christohuroh, October 10. An accident occurred at Mardon's flax works on Saturday. A portion of a scntoher, which runs at a high rate of speed, gave, way, and smashed the surrounding woodwork and the wall of the building. Henry Mardon, Ktzgett, and E. O'Neil, young men who were working the machine, were struck by the splinters, the two former reoeiving outs on their foreheads, and the latter a wound on the thigh. The accident is unaccountable/ the scutcher having been overhauled and strengthened only a short time ago.
