AUSTRALIAN TELEGRAMS.
Melbourne, Ootober 5. Arrived this morning, Te Anau, from Bluff. Sydney, Ootober 5. The R.MS. Zealandia sailed to-day for Auckland, with homeward San Francisoo mails. A scene occurred in the Legislative Assembly this evening, when the Insolvency Bill came up for its second reading. In the course of the debate Mr. Melville referred to the Chief , Commissioner of Insolvent Estates as an " old woman," and said there was no greater sympathiser with insolvent : scoundrels than that officer. Mr. Toohey, a member for Sydney, objected to the language used, on whioh the Speaker ruled Mr. Melville out 01' order. The latter openly defied the ruling of the Speaker, and was supported by the Premier, who condemned the ruling. A division was called for, but the Speaker withdrawing his ruling the motion was not pressed. The seoond reading of the Insolvency Bill was agreed to. HoBAET, Ootober 5. Since the outbreak of small pox in this colony twenty-two cases have been reported to have proved fatal. The R.M.S. Rimutaka arrived from Plymouth this morning, and sailed again this afternoon for New Zealand. Brisbane, Ootober 5. The German warship Adler has arrived at Cooktown from Samoa, with the ex-Eang Malietoa on board. The ex-King is to be transferred from the Adler lo the German warship Albatross, whioh sailed this morning. The destination of the Albatross is not known, but it is supposed to be German New Guinea.
