What might be termed a rara avis, in the form of a grey rabbit, is occasionally to be observed on the beach near the railway station, in a sort of meditative mood. The animal lives apparently under a pile of iron rails in the station yard, but as the sea of late has made great encroachment under the rails and carried away a great quantity of earth, the rabbit no doubt while sitting just ontside its domicile looking at the sea, as it was the other day, thinks that it is high time he changed his quarters.
