Money Seoubitibs.— 3 per cent. Contsoli now at 10l£. New Zealand securities are quoted as follows: — 5 per ct. 10*40 loan, 101? ; 2} per cent, 1879-1901 loan, 95 ; i per cent, inscribed stock, 99£. Bank rate of discount is now 4 per cent., and market rate is now 3| percent. Total reserve in the Bank of England in notes and bullion is now £11,600,000 showing an increase of £200,000. Proportion of reserve to liabilities Is 44 per cent, or 1 per cent, higher than last week. Bbkadstotfs. — Adelaide wheat, ex store, quiet, at 84s per 4961b5 ; New • Zealand wheat, ex store, 31s to 33s per 496 lbs.; Adelaide flour, 245. , Tallow. — Australian tallow, steady ; beef, 22s 6d ; and 23s 6d for mutton.
Lkathbb. — Beit sides Australian leather are worth llsd per lb. Flax. — The New Zealand flax market continues firm at the following, quotations j— Fine quality, £26 per ton; medium, £22 10s ; common, £20.
Fbozen Meat. — New Zealand frozen mutton, prime quality, 3|d to 4d per lb. Wool/.— At the wool auction on Tuesday. 11,600 bale b were effired. Toe market con* tinues firm.
