MELBOURNE RACES.

The autumn meeting of the Melbourne Hunt Club was held at Melbourne on Tuesday. The principal event, Handicap Steeplechase, was won by Promotion. During the race Hon. J. Pearson's Lady Ashton fell, and her injuries were so severe thatjshe had to be destroyed.
