Work is going on steadily at the ironsand works. Mr. Hipkins states that the trial will probably be made in a fortnight from date. A fresh supply of firebricks has been brought down from Auckland. Tin contractor for the charcoal has put a largo quantity of wood,on the ground and intends commencing burning on Monday. The success of the smelting of the ironBand will undoubtedly prove of the greatest benefit to Tarnnakj.
